Colliers Wood United F.C.

Colliers Wood United Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in West Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton. The club is affiliated to the Surrey County Football Association. The club are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division and play at the Wibbandune Sports Ground.
==History==
The club was established in 1874, and was originally called Vandyke. They played in the local leagues of Wimbledon and Sutton, before joining the Southern Division of the Surrey Intermediate League. In the 1960s and 1970s they were members of the Surrey Senior League, winning Division One in 1969–70.〔(History ) Colliers Wood United〕 However the lack of facilities at the local recreation ground they used stopped them being promoted to any higher standard of football.〔
In 1991 the club moved to the Wibbandune Sports Ground. The club now at its new ground then joined the Surrey County Premier League for the start of the 1991–92 campaign. The club then went on to win the Surrey Intermediate Cup at the end of 1991–92 season and this was followed by the Surrey County Premier League cup at the end of the 1994–95 season. In 1997 the Club change its name to Vandyke Colliers United. The change of name worked as they went on to win the Surrey County Premier League in the 1997–98 competition.〔
In 1999 the club changed its name again to its current version. The change of name saw the club then finish in runners-up position in the Surrey County Premier League that year, which was renamed the Surrey County Senior League in 2000, and two of the next three seasons.〔 The 2003–04 season saw the club join the newly created Division one of the Combined Counties Football League, where they finished as runners-up at the first attempt and earning promotion to the Premier Division. In the 2011–12 season the club got the final of the Combined Counties Premier Cup Final where they lost to Guernsey 2–0 after extra time at Farnborough in front of a crowd of 667.
